I was goofing around on the computer and somehow latched onto this nugget of gold: Nickelodeon plans to release The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra in 2012. If you aren't familiar with the amazing cartoon that sparked the movie (which was totally underwhelming), Avatar: The Last Airbender was an incredible meld of eastern philosophy, natural elements and the people who command them. A great war is fought, and a group of kids with amazing power work together to stop it. But that's way too simple for this show. I won't go into more detail, because it was pretty deep and just wonderfully animated and written. Talk about creative! To dismiss it as a kid's cartoon sells the series short. I enjoyed the hell out of it.
Anyway, here's the trailer for Legend of Korra. And the city in which the story takes place has a supposedly steampunk feel. So even better! Check it out...
