A Familiar Rant
Take a look at my blog post from Thursday at Samhain. Tired of idiots referring to our romance books as bodice rippers? Don't like hearing your entertainment referred to at one of "those" books? Join the club.

New Contract: Creation's Control
Wow! I'm excited to announce I've signed my second contract with Total E-Bound for my very first m/m romance, Creation's Control. I've written m/m scenes before, but never a straight m/m romance. I hadn't intended to write one at the outset, but the characters are what they are. At the end of my recently published The Perfect Creation, my secondary characters (the heroes of Creation's Control) began to interact with each other, but not in a way I'd planned. Than I had to run with it.
It was a fun book to write. Men are harder, less prone to want to talk about things. But on the inside they still want love and affection, even if they don't know how to show it. In Creation's Control, Drekk knows what it's like to be tortured and enslaved. He wants to help Ryen overcome his unease and his anger having undergone the same, but Ryen doesn't know how to let him. This is a futuristic romance and I really like how it turned out. It should be out from TEB this fall.

New Cover: Duncan's Descent
My latest Ethereal Foes book, Duncan's Descent, will be coming out from Samhain in August. We went through several rounds on this cover, and I'm please with the result. Sapphira, the heroine, has the right amount of sin on her face on this cover.
Here's a blurb about Ethereal Foes: Duncan's Descent.
A demon with a mission, Duncan Sinclair is a part of the Ethereal, that band of angels and demons who serve existence. Duncan works for the lower realm to ensure humans don’t screw up the balance of things. To that end, he sways the souls of humans on the brink of Decision, between moving along a path toward heaven, or better yet, toward hell. And Duncan is very good at his job. Until a prank gone wrong lands him in the upper realm doing penance. He’s forced to endure love, forgiveness and kindness: the worst kind of torture he can imagine. Matters get worse when a loophole finds Duncan’s reparation extended, including that he work with an angel who gets to him on every level. He desires her, he likes her, and he finds that there’s much more to Sapphira than even she knows. Because when his angel drinks, swears and takes him to bliss with her sinfully delightful body, Duncan finds himself in jeopardy of losing his heart and soul to the enemy, the angel he finds he can no longer live without. What’s a demon to do when he’s falling?

Too Funny
I love these Demotivators. A friend of mine once sent me a bunch of them as cards, and I've been hooked on them since. I was looking at a certain online business I'd recently had dealings with, and thought they should use this as their logo. Trust me, if you'd ordered books from them, you'd be thinking the same thing.

Guardian's Redemption
For those patient souls who've wanted to know if I was planning on finishing the Storm Lords series sometime this century, I reedited and submitted Guardian's Redemption. Cross your fingers this version works better than the last. I'll keep you all updated on any progress. And once again, thanks much to Rae for helping me out on version one. Big smiles, Rae.

My Nutshell
Man. I've been trying to post throughout the day and had some major blogger problems. They seem to be fixed, so here goes...
Lots going on lately.
Lots going on lately.
- Received a contract for Creation's Control, a futuristic m/m romance
- Finished second chapter in a new paranormal series I'm working on
- Finished first chapter in my new urban fantasy. Not sure what direction this one is going in. Erotic, romantic, maybe more a fictional piece? Fuzzy so far... but it's different. I like it.
- Finally got some cover art for Duncan's Descent that looks like it might stick
- Booked my flight and transportation for the RWA conference in late July. Yippee.
- Entered another contest. Why? Because I need to feel stressed about something writing related.

New Release: The Perfect Creation
new from Total E-Bound
A futuristic erotic romance
A futuristic erotic romance
Science can create many things, but only a troublemaking Mardu can introduce Erin to the wonders of love.
Rafe of Mardu has a problem. He's sent to baby-sit his troublesome older brother, and in the process finds himself kidnapped by a woman too perfect to be real, with the strength of an inhumanly powerful being. To make matters worse, he's mistaken for his old alter-ego, Cheltam—a criminal mastermind who actually serves as a cover for Rafe's real work as a lawman.
But Erin, his kidnapper, needs his help, and Rafe is unable to deny the protective instincts, as well as the lust, he feels in her presence. He agrees to help her, posing as Cheltam. And they seal the deal with more than a kiss, in an act that changes Rafe's world forever. When he learns that this special woman is a Creation, an 'abomination' in the eyes of the System and one that is to be terminated on sight, Rafe doesn't just bend the rules, he breaks them. Together, he and Erin will take on the laboratory that created her.
The odds are against them, but if they're successful, Rafe plans on a future with the woman he considers his mate...if only he can convince her that his love is real.
